Celebration of a Country

It seemed to come and go like the book "And to Think I Saw It On Mayberry Street" by Dr Seuss. A weekend full of plans... from good wine and food... the Cowboy Roundup rodeo... to the parade led my some of Steamboat Springs founding families. July fourth really struck a nerve when the four F-16 jets flew over town as hundreds lined main street and I later took in the fireworks while on the bank of the Yampa River. Hard to believe two years ago I was in a city of six million, and now I appreciate life and where I'm at even more in a population of under ten thousand!

I can certainly relate--I live in a town of around 2,000 people, and there is a huge 4th of July celebration out here that everyone from neighboring towns attend every year. It's amazing--never saw that in a large city.
