Photo 365 Project: Jan 01-05

So one of my New Year's resolutions was to, after all the other photographers I've seen do this, start my own daily photo project.  This has many advantages both to my self and you my fans.  So here goes...

Jan 01- "First Tracks," Even though the plows seem to run around the clock here this time of year when the heavy snows settle into the valley, and inch or two is no cause for alarm on the side streets. As tempting as it is, every day, I thought a day indoors was in order… after a few errands that is. Snow and ice covered roads are a familiar sight, impressions of travelers left behind.

Jan 02- "This seat's taken," It's that time of year when the patio is used more for measuring snow accumulation than anything else

Jan 03 - I was hoping to get out and ski for at least a few hours today, but just didn't happen. Photo editing, emails, updating marketing materials... it made for more time with my hands in contact with the keyboard than my feet in contact with the skis.

Jan 04 - I was driving through one of the neighborhoods in Steamboat today and ran across this hydrant. It's important to not that this hydrants is on a 3 foot extension, and a pole is in the ground behind it so that plows don't accidentally runs into it when the snow gets deep... er, deeper.

Jan 05 -  "Ah, Chute!"

I got up extra early so I could hit the slopes for a bit today (fyi... cinnamon is much better in oatmeal than chili powder!). Took the big boy camera out today, and hit the big boy runs.
