I thought it might be important to explain the term Alpenglow, if your not familiar with what it is. The color in the photos is completely natural, so no photo-shopping was done to get the pink color nor did I use any special filters.
When the sun sets below the horizon rays of light can be reflected off airborne water particles (snow and ice included) in the atmosphere and create a pink to red hue in the sky. Often in Winter, especially here in the Colorado mountains, snow picks up the color and creates this amazing optical phenomenon.
This is also known as the Golden Hour for photographers or the Belt of Venus.
